Family Trail Hike

Come join the Carolina Thread Trail for a 4-mile hike in McAdenville starting on a new portion of the Pharr Yarn Family Trail (formerly the South Fork Trail) to Cable Point and back. We will head out at 9:00 AM. Please register ahead of time.

Kayak Rentals

Kayaks will be available at the McAdenville Greenway and Blueway Launch. For a donation of your choosing to Catawba Riverkeeper, you may choose a single or tandem sit-on-top kayak (including paddle and life vest) for a 20-minute paddle to the R.Y. McAden Dam and back.

Cash or cards are accepted for the donation. Kayaks are first-come, first-served. Guests must be 4 years of age to ride in a tandem with an adult and 8 years of age to ride in a kayak alone with an adult in another kayak.

Join us beside the lake at Dynamo 31 for music, food, drinks, the ribbon cutting, games and fireworks! Bring chairs or a blanket. You can park in any public lot or space in town.

A passenger drop-off area will be available in the front of Dynamo 31. Enter the parking lot across from Spruced Goose and someone will direct you.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with parking, set up, clean up, and more. If you are interested, fill out the form at the link below and someone will contact you.
